There are four positions available from four of the following sectors: Food Retail, Planning, Faith-Based Organization, Funding, Labor, Transportation, Rural Agriculture, Food Manufacturer and Distributor, and Economic Development, with terms expiring on December 31, 2017 (except Food Retail and Faith-Based Organization, with terms expiring on December 31, 2016).
Council members must be available to attend meetings on the second Monday of the odd months from 4-6PM at Food Gatherers, must attend 2 outreach events per calendar year, and participate in a committee and/or a Policy Action Team. The Food Policy Council was established in 2012 to develop a healthy community and thriving local food system.
