Keep the Hives Alive Tour

Ypsilanti is home to the first Bee City USA designation and Bee Safe Neighborhood in the State of Michigan and continues to provide conservation and pollinator protection on various levels from grassroots campaigning to policy level work in the food system.

Please join the Washtenaw County Food Policy Council and Ecology Center, along with Ypsilanti Mayor Amanda Edmonds and local elected officials, beekeepers, farmers, activists and YOU in welcoming the folks from the Keep the Hives Alive Tour to our beautiful city and show them how much we care about pollinators and our environment.

Hear more about local successes, as well as current, ongoing efforts from various organizations to protect pollinators and how you can get involved to be part of creating healthy and sustainable communities.

Participate in a costume contest, children’s activities, enjoy live entertainment, taste a special treat by GO! Ice Cream, and meet new folks!

Free and open to the public.
