There are six positions to be filled to serve in the following sectors: Nutrition, Human Services, Rural Agriculture, Waste Management, Planning, Funding, Transportation, Food Retail, Urban Agriculture, Food Manufacturer and Distributor, Labor, Health Care, and Education, for two-year terms expiring December 31, 2019.
Council members must be available to attend meetings on a Monday of the odd months from 3-5PM, must attend 2 outreach events per calendar year, and participate in a committee and/or a Policy Action Team. The Food Policy Council was established in 2012 to develop a healthy community and thriving local food system.
