Opportunities to Get Involved with the Washtenaw County Food Policy Council
The purpose of the Council is to make policy recommendations based on research and analysis of the local food system. We also seek to strengthen local connections and educate the community on food related issues. Policy Action Teams focus on identifying and recommending policy action and related programming in their area of interest to the Council and community partners.
The Washtenaw County Food Policy Council meets the second Monday of odd months from 4pm-6pm at Food Gatherers (1 Carrot Way, Ann Arbor, MI 48105), unless otherwise noted. Meeting times and locations for the Council and Policy Action Teams are posted here. The public is always encouraged to attend meetings and become members of the Policy Action Teams.
Periodically, the Washtenaw County Food Policy Council will recruit for positions on the Council. Check the blog page for posts about open seats.
